Sunrise offense unstoppable in win -
Sunrise scored the maximum seven in each of the first 3 innings on the way to a 21-11 victory over Northpoint. Northpoint kept up for the first two innings, scoring 11 of their own. Rachel Fotusky allowed just one hit to Mikayla Klym over the next two innings to shut down Northpoint. Fotusky, Van Gorder, Josi Trichka and Kathryn Miller all had 2 hits each for Sunrise. Kayla Koch, Katie Armstrong and Olivia Bridge added hits for Northpoint. Koch and Dani Brennan made nice putouts in the field for Northpoint, and Trichka ended the game with a nice overhead snag of a foul ball at 3rd base.

Catherine Miller pitched 5 strong innings to lead Sunrise in its win over Silvestri. Rachel Fotusky came on in the 6th inning to preserve the victory. Cassidie Codispoti pitched 5 strong innings for Silvestri. Miller collected two hits while Fotusky and Danielle Gomolka each adding a hit for Sunrise. Natalie Longo collected two hits for Silvestri while Skyler Hoyt and Codispoti each adding one. In this low scoring game, both teams played strong defense with each team making several nice plays. Brooke Bart earned a "Silvestri Ice Cream Award".

Sunrise Pulls Away Late -
Sunrise broke open a tight 10-9 game in the bottom of the fifth with a seven run inning to earn the win over Northpoint. The game was tied 9-9 after 2 innings, then both teams turned to pitching and defense for the next few innings. Rachel Fotusky entered the game in the 3rd and allowed just one base runner over the next 3 innings, while striking out 6. Heather Rybacki pitched a gritty 5 innings for Northpoint, allowing just one run in the crucial 3rd and 4th innings, striking out 4 and making several putouts from the mound. M Oliveri led the way for Sunrise with 3 hits. Dani Cronk and Kayla Koch made nice defensive plays for Norhtpoint.

Citgo Stops O.L. Davis -
The sun shone brightly as O.L. Davis took on Sunrise Citgo at the Maine Softball field Wednesday evening. Sunrise’s offense was on a roll as they made 7 straight runs in the first inning. After a rough start, Davis battled and picked up one run in the second inning and three runs in the 3rd inning; Katie Greenley, Kelsey Dickerman, Emily Kish and Shannon Kleespies running the bases. Adding a run to the scoreboard were Chelsea Sedlak in the 4th and Allison Unger in the 6th inning. Katie Greenley pitched all 6 innings. Cara Boothroyd nailed a fantastic double in the 5th inning as well bringing in 2 runs in the 2nd. Boothroyd also wowed the fans as she caught a pop fly in the 5th inning and made a double play. Rachel Fotusky pitched all innings for her team as well as scoring two runs. Maine’s Josie Trichka, Vanessa Brown, Catherine Miller and Danielle Gomolka also scored two runs with Brianna Davies, Natasha VanGorder and Paige Sisenstein making it around the bases once. Sunrise player Julianna Vicari hit two solid singles and Shania Finch got on base with a nice hit in the 4th inning. Good sportsmanship was displayed by both teams and the spectators were treated to a well played game.

Kimberly Jones pitched 5 strong innings for Park Manor with Meredith coming in to finish the game. Rachel Fotusky and Kathryn Miller pitched for Sunrise Citgo. Rachel, Kathryn, Vanessa Brown, Josie Trichka, Page Sisenstein and Brianna Davis all had hits for Sunrise Citgo. Logan DiRusso, Gabby Stein and Sidney Bendert came up with good put outs for Park Manor. Sidney, Meredith, Emily Missavage(2 hits), Logan(2 hits), Kimberly(2 hits), Gabby, Jessica and Alison all had hits for Park Manor.

Sunrise Citgo used a 3 run Home Run by Rachel Fotusky, 2 doubles by Kathryn Miller and 3 runs scored by Vanessa Brown to overcome Northpoint Technology, 24-8 on Sunday. Fotusky pitched 3 strong innings against a continually improving Northpoint team, who had their best offensive showing of the year. Gracie Controneo led the way with 2 hits, while Dani Cronk, Olivia Bridge, Katie Armstrong and Dani Brennan added hits as well. Brennan also scored 3 runs with some great base running. Heather Rybacki scored twice.

Tight game in Maine -
Kimberly Jones pitched a strong game for Endwell Park Manor to earn the win. Rachel Fotusky pitched a strong game for Maine - Sunrise Citgo in a very close game. Park Manor started off slow but came back to time the game in the 5th inning and scored 2 in the 6th to pull out the win. Both teams played very well in a very close game that could have easily gone either way. Rachel Fotusky lead Maine in hitting with 2 hits along with hits from Danielle Gomolka, Vanessa Brown, Trichka and Davis. Meredith came up with a big triple in the 4th and a single in the 1st, MaryKate Guilfoyle had 2 hits and Logan DiRusso had a single. Several players also had good catches in the infield and outfield including a big pop fly out by Kelly Layton.

The rain did not dampen he spirits of these two teams of athletes as they began the second game of the season. Maine’s Kat Miller pitched an exciting game. Katie Greenley pitching 4 innings and Emily Kish coming in and finishing up the last 2. Maine’s Vanessa Brown, Olivieri, Michitti and Murray all had hits. Karlee Voorhees of the Davis team had 2 nice hits. Chelsea Sedlak, Maggie VanFleet, Kelsey Dickerman, Emily Kish, Sabrina Sholtes and Jenna Fetterman also had hits. Davis’ Katie Greenley wowed the crowd with a powerful triple. Even though the sun never shined, the girls certainly did, and the game was well played by both teams.

Kassandra Hizny, Natalie Longo, and Skyler Hoyt each earned a "Silvestri Ice Cream Award".

Rachael Fotusky pitched 5 strong innings to lead Sunrise over Silvestri. Rachael also had a good game at the plate scoring 3 times and hitting a home run. Natalie Knight scored the lone run for Silvestri.

The athletes were in great form as they treated the spectators to a well played game. Great defense was demonstrated as both teams scored only 1 run each until the 5th inning, when Sunrise took the lead. Katie Greenley and Cat Miller pitched for their respective teams. At the conclusion of the game, the stats were as follows; for Sunrise Citgo, Miller, Davis, and Fotusky had one hit each. Scoring for Sunrise were Miller, Fotsky, Davis, Michitti, Murray, Trichka and Lee. For the O.L.Davis team; Unger, Sedlak, Voorhees and Martino each hit solid singles with Kish hitting her first double of the season. Allison Unger scored one run early into the game. Both teams played well and had the crowd cheering!

On a wonderful evening at the Maine field Park Manor's bat's came alive with solid pitching and fielding to end the regular season. Kimberly Jones pitched 6 solid innings with no walks for the win. Rachel Fotusky and Catherine Miller pitched a good game for Sunrise Citgo. For Sunrise Josie Trichka, Vanessa Brown, Rachel Fotusky had multiple hits, Natasha VanGorder, Michitti and Paige Sisenstein also had a hit. For Park Manor Meredith Suwak had 2 hits, Kimberly Jones went 3-3, Jessica Lanhardt went 3-3, Mary-Kate Guilfoyle, Sydney Bendert, Emily Missavage, Logan DiRusso, Kelly Layton, Gabby Stein and Rebeccda Buholski(big double) each had a hit. The big plays of the day were 2 double plays, one with a good catch and throw out to 1st by Emily Missavage and a good catch and throw to 2nd by Gabby Stein.
