AAA Softball Week 7 Game Highlights

Robinson Hill Nursery & Mulch - 12     Palmer Insurance - 11
Robinson Hill squeeks past Palmer Insurance - It was an exciting game that traded leads many times. Girls on both teams can feel proud of the way they played today. On defense for Palmer, Michelle Savoldy made a great catch of a screaming line drive at Pitcher. On offense, Anna Crandall, Nicole Patak & Grace Muggeo each went 2 for 3. Robinson Hill's offense was led by Nadia Hogan who went 4 for 4. On defense, Courtney Kincer made a nice toss to Elise Maus (catcher) who made a great play to tag a runner out at home. I'd also like to credit the girls for noting at least one bad call by us coaches(we need umpires), even though it cost their own team an out....that showed great sportsmanship.

M & T Bank - 20     Palmer Insurance - 10
M&T Wins - M&T keep their bats going Sunday night against a well improved Palmer Insurance team. M&T offense was led by Jori Zimmerman, Katie Malack, Jenna Ciganek, Marykate Gell and Rachel Lee all with 3 hits each. 3rd baseman Chloe Higgins closed down Palmer in the 1st inning with a nice catch and throw to M&T's first basemen Jori Zimmerman for a double play. Zoe Katz also made a nice catch on a foul ball behind the plate for an out. Palmer Insurance's offense was led by Olivia Porcari and Maggie Ross with 3 hits each. Palmer's outfielder made some great plays on some hard hit balls. Great game girls!

M & T Bank - 21     Window Broker - 6
M&T Plays Solid In Win - M&T played Window Broker on a gorgeous Saturday morning at Struble field. M&T came out slugging away with 5 runs in each of the first 4 innings. M&T's offense was led by Jori Zimmerman who went 4 for 4 with a triple and a double. Rachel Lee, Mary-Kate Gell, Cassy Banker, Maggie Striley, Katie Malack, Carlee Koritkowski and Zoe Katz all had 3 hits. Carlee Koritkowski made her first catch of the year at shortstop. Jenna Ciganek also made some awesome plays in the field today. Window Broker's offense was led by Katrina Hatala and Monica Ferguson who had 3 hits each. All the girls played hard to the end!

Maine - Parkway Wine and Spirits - 23     Robinson Hill Nursery & Mulch - 6
Parkway Beats Robinson Hill - Parkway Wines & Spirits had a great night on offense and defense. They had several balls hit deep into the outfield. Robinson Hill had some nice plays on defense, but could not slow down the Parkway bats. Robinson Hill was led by Sam Connery who went 3-3.

Maine - Hatala Orthodontics - 15     Palmer Insurance - 6
Hatala outslugs the Palmer Girls - The girls from Hatala bats were hot tonight at Struble Field. All 9 of their players had multiple hits, that combined with their excellent fielding led them to a 15-6 victory over the Palmer girls. Palmer was led by Maggie Ross going 3 for 3 and Nicole Patak going 2 for 2. The defensive highlight of the game for Palmer was Michelle Savoldy snagging a line drive at pitcher and making a quick throw to Maggie Ross to complete a double play.

Maine - Hatala Orthodontics - 13     Robinson Hill Nursery & Mulch - 6
Hatala beats Robinson Hill at home - Defense was the name of the game on this night. Both teams fielded very well. Jamie Pastrick was an amazing 5-5 for Hatala. Kennedy Brown led Robinson Hill with 2 hard hit triples in the game. The Robinson Hill crew really came to life after the game when it was announced that they would be going for ice cream.
