In a well pitched game by both sides, the Rangers rode home runs by Phil Lupo (2 HR, 5 RBI) and Matt Adams to top the Pirates 6-2. Adams got the win with David Maione contributing the save. Mike Meleski and Joe Heckel both pitched very effectively for the Pirates and each hit safely on the offensive side.
